This is the glorious corner of Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico. This os not the northwest corner of the Tezas Panhandle. That State Corner, bordering only New Mexico, is about a mile west of this point. None of the locals knew, or particularly cared, how such a idiotic bit of survey took place. My guess is that the survey was done in a smoke filled room in Washington by inebriated politicians. More research is required to sort out this puzzle.
